Askja and Bylgja 2013 Our Askja from Mykjunes - IS2008286725 did well in FIZO last summer with her rider Bylgja Gauksdóttir. Askja is after our Elja from Þingeyri and Akkur from Brautarholt. She got 8.16 in total, there of 8.42 for riding abilities only 5 years old! Highest marks being 9 for pace and willingness, 8.5 for tölt, slow tempo tölt, form, proportions, back and hoofs. We are very proud breeders and owners of this talented young mare. She was not covered last summer so we aim again on FIZO and maybe some competitions. But next spring she will be covered :)
Gyðja and Siggi 2013 Gyðja from Árbær - IS2008286930 is after Álfur from Selfoss and highly talented mare Glás from Votmúla. She is owned by Gunter in Störtal and Inga Trottenberg. Gyðja has grown up by us at Eyland and we have arrange training and so on. She is a special mare that we are very fond of! She also did a good job with her rider Siggi Matt last summer in FIZO. She got 7.99 in total but has lot more to give. We think 2014 will be Gyðja´s year ;)
